What does Diamond-Cut mean on a chain, bracelet, etc?

Diamond cut (diamond-cut) refers to small notches, patterns, etc. carved into the metal for the desired look and then given a high polish to increase their sparkling reflections. Just like satin finish, matte finish or sandblasting, diamond cuts are just a way to make the outer metal surface glisten.
